Annual music festival founded in 2002 by singer-songwriter Freddy Freeman. Originally a concert in New York City, Bearapalooza has grown into a national musical celebration of ursine brotherhood, with successful music festivals in New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, Nashville and Florida.

Tony Gilkinson came up with the idea of The BEARatones in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1996. The group was originally created to be a trio but, before the group could even get its feet wet, Tony moved to Seattle, Washington. The original group disbanded but in August of 2004, Tony got the bug again to reform the group. The reformed group debuted at the Northwest Bears Spring Thaw event in April 2005.

Created in Montreal in June 2005, Bear Crusader is a rock band for the bear, cub, leathermen and all the gay community. During their concerts, Bear Crusader play a mix of covers and originals. You can hear covers from Weezer, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Placebo, My Chemical Romance, Smashing Pumpkins and many others.

Launched in the October of 2003, Bear Radio Network, a subsidiary of Online Express Music, is a webcast featuring some of the best GLBTI and gay-friendly artists on the net.  Our objective is to introduce our audience to a diverse selection of music, an alternative to the pure techno/house format.

Based out of Ohio and representing the gay “Bear” community, Bigg Nugg mixes it up with his top-notch production and spit-fire lyrics on all types of things ranging from personal struggles to equal rights. A musician since his teenage years, the metamorphosis and transition into the artist known as Bigg Nugg was a natural evolution of talent. His lyrics are filled with reflection, insight, passion, and a yearning for the balance of power in a homophobic society.

Max Christopher has been making music since he was 13 years of age and writing songs since he was 15. Honing his skills in numerous bands since the 80s, Max has released “Fresh Chrome”, an album of his own material.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Cubbyhole Records is a group of professionals headed by Ken Renales. Our main purpose is to promote singer/songwriters. We don't do this for money, but for those talented souls who attract our attention but do not attract the attention of the major labels.

DJ Blaine has a remarkable sixth sense allowing him to consistently read the dance floor to give them exactly what they want, even when it may be something they have never heard. He artistically challenges them with samples, hooks and layers of intricately woven high octane vocals, tribal beats, and big room anthems to create an intense, uplifting energy, making it next to impossible to leave the dance floor.

DJ Ted Eiel is a Chicago House DJ with a love for funky, chunky, meaty masculine bass lines and melodic hooks.  He has spun parties all over the US and UK. He has a wide range of tastes, from electro and progressive house to heavy, dark, bass-driven rhythms.  Ted tries to find underground music with energy and soul that will make you move.

With his "ear to the ground, listening for a sound," Freddy Freeman shares what he hears with his audience and his fellow musicians. His sound is filled with warmth, honesty, and soul, but knows no genre, mixing Country, Rock, Folk, and R&B influences into a rich stew of American Pop Music.

I get inspired enough by the wondrous world around me that I feel the need to sit down and express my thoughts and emotions.  Finally, I have chosen and put together enough material to be able to make my first CD.  The journey has been a long one, but my dream has finally become a reality......

Drawing from an eclectic pool of influences, the music of NEKKED is sometimes a raw, sometimes sophisticated mix; “Post-Modern Folk” – folk-style vocals but with electronic production and a bent toward pop, rock and dance.

Sound artist Yann Novak documents the emotional impact of the world around him by recording it. Through digital processing, he then hones in on the feelings of time and place that field recordings can evoke. While maintaining the naturally occurring composition of the original document, Novak reveals the delicate nuances of sound within the new context of evocative soundscapes.

The Polyatomic Project - an experimental home studio project originally started in 1993, and resurrected in 2002 as an project in electronica. Ultimately, the project is about releasing creativity, having fun, and writing music for the enjoyment of sharing new music.

RC The Bear Cub is a music mixer currently living in Columbus, Ohio. His work includes original tracks and remixed tracks of other artists.

Martin Swinger focuses 40 years of performing experience into award-winning original songs, traditional and contemporary Americana music, swing and jazz standards.

Matthew Temple grew up in the Pacific North West but now makes his home in Nashville, Tennessee. He started taking guitar lessons at the age of 7. He began writing folk music in college in the mid 60’s and sang with Duke Ellington in the early 70’s. In 1980 Matthew was hit by a drunk driver and lost the strength and control of his left hand. Although he continued to write songs, it took years of work before he could play again. “The Journey” is Matthew’s first CD.
